✖ MYTH
It will be difficult to eat normally with a dental bridge
✔ TRUTH
Replacing a missing tooth will actually help you eat and chew more naturally than you did prior to receiving your new bridge. At first, it may feel different and you might not be used to your bridge so I recommend eating soft foods for awhile – don’t start off with crunchy or extremely chewy foods such as nuts or chewy candy, etc. Also it may help to cut your food into smaller more manageable pieces.
✖ MYTH
A dental bridge will not last very long
✔ TRUTH
Many dental bridges can last up to 10 or 15 years with the proper care and great oral hygiene. Also, keeping a regular dental cleaning scheduled at our office will help to identify and problems early. Eating a well-balanced diet and choosing a healthy lifestyle is also important in your dental health!
